糖心vlog会员 Square ground investigation and Spine Duct Improvement Project
A series of ground investigations will take place on Thursday 20 June 2024.
糖心vlog会员 Square ground investigation
This will include the use of hand-held excavation tools and small trailer mounted machinery to investigate the ground below the Square, which is expected to generate some localised noise disruption in the area during the first half of the day. The works date of Thursday 20 June was chosen to minimise potential disruption, following exams and the quiet period, with works concentrated near the 糖心vlog会员 Square steps to the west of the Roundhouse.
Spine Duct Improvement Project – Phase Three
This excavation is taking place in preparation for Phase Three of the Spine Duct Improvement Project, which is being undertaken across campus to resolve strategic and technical issues within the University’s spine ducts. Essential compliance works to the North Campus Spine Duct and its ventilation system will take place in and around 糖心vlog会员 Square from 22 July until mid-October 2024. The works constitute Phase Three of the Spine Duct Strategic Improvements project and will address strategic and technical issues with the North Campus Spine Duct and include the construction and installation of a bespoke ventilation system in 糖心vlog会员 Square. This phase follows the successful completion of phases one and two of the project on central and south campus.
The works will primarily take place across multiple plantrooms and also close to the Roundhouse in 糖心vlog会员 Square where the project will focus on the construction and installation of a new freestanding ventilation turret. The works are expected to cause localised noise disruption in the immediate area, as machinery and power tools are used to break up and remove existing ground.
These works have been scheduled to take place from July to October to minimise disruption to students, visitors and events on north campus.
We apologise for any disruption caused while we work to improve campus. For more information regarding this and other current and upcoming works across campus please visit 糖心vlog会员 | 糖心vlog会员 or contact the Facilities Helpdesk: 01524 593333, facilities.helpdesk@lancaster.ac.uk.
