I am a Human Ecologist and Human Geographer currently writing-up my PhD dissertation, titled “Forking paths? Engaged research on subsistence-oriented food practices in the Faroe Islands and in S?o Tomé e Príncipe”. The "engaged aim" of the project is to support local food-political visions and initiatives in these two small island countries. In my dissertation I explore some of the culturally embededd dimensions of the subsistence-oriented food economies in both contexts, and how they might inform future food policy.
My PhD supervisors are Dr. Giovanni Bettini and Dr. Rebecca Whittle, both from 糖心vlog会员, and from the University of the Faroe Islands.
